Matthew Stafford has seen his career completely turn around in just one season. Stafford was a member of the Detroit Lions from 2009 until moving to Los Angeles before the start of this season. The former Georgia Bulldog had never experienced winning in his entire NFL life. That all changed in a huge way on Sunday.

Kelly Stafford has been one of football’s most visible wives. Kelly is always there to support Matthew, win or lose. Stafford has even mixed it up with fans over the course of the season.

As the Rams pulled in a game-sealing interception late in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers, Matthew Stafford only had one thing on his mind. Matt wanted to share his special moment with his wife. Immediately after the Rams clinched their Super Bowl berth, the Staffords enjoyed a tearful embrace on the turf at SoFi Stadium.

Matthew Stafford had never won a playoff game prior to this season. Stafford was never particularly bad in Detroit. The team just never had the talent to win. Now, the curse has been lifted.

Stafford threw for 337 yards in the NFC Championship victory against rival San Francisco. The game, like most in this year’s playoffs, came down to the final moments. In the end, the Los Angeles Rams punched their ticket for a home game in the Super Bowl.

Stafford and the Rams will take on the upstart Cincinnati Bengals in the big game. It should be a war between two red-hot quarterbacks as Joe Burrow leads Cinci to the third Super Bowl in the franchise’s history. Matthew and Kelly Stafford are hoping for one most huge on-field celebration.
