Janet Jackson fans have gotten a behind-the-scenes look at the 55-year-old recording artist’s life. That includes her childhood growing up with Michael and her other brothers. Her infamous Super Bowl incident with Justin Timberlake, and her breakup with 49-year-old Jermaine Dupri, thanks to Lifetime’s Janet documentary.

This Saturday, the fourth instalment of the documentary aired, shocking fans when the record producer, Jermaine Dupri admitted to cheating on Jackson over their seven-year relationship. Dupri recalled the time when he used to date Janet and how that attracted other girls.

“One of the weird things is that dating Janet attracts other women – girls wanted to talk to me more because I was dating her… and I’m a man.”

The Velvet Rope singer also addressed her ex’s infidelity stating that she didn’t mind much as her requirements were more than he was providing. Dupri was described as a workaholic by the Indiana native, who revealed that when he had finished his work for the day, he would go to the club.

I had heard he was cheating, but there were other things… I needed more than he was giving me. I would ask him to carve out a little time for me. I always felt that he didn’t have enough time for a girlfriend… I would say that world was his girlfriend.

Following the show’s conclusion, fans went to Twitter to voice their outrage at Dupri’s behavior, with many hurling insults at the North Carolina-born entrepreneur, claiming that he isn’t good-looking enough to have done anything so heinous to someone as beautiful as Jackson.

Despite the drama, the former lovers have maintained cordial relations throughout the years. In another Janet episode, the “All For You” singer discussed her childhood connection with her older brother Michael, who she claims called her some painful and derogatory names.
