NLE Choppa and Lil Durk have both been killing it on the music front lately. King Von was like brother for Durk, but he was murdered outside a Miami hookah bar in 2020. If not for Choppa, Durk might have caught a body in retaliation.

A clip from DJ Akademiks’ interview with NLE Choppa on his Off The Record podcast was posted on the internet. It showed the rapper praising King Von and talking about his demise. Choppa finally revealed how he helped Durk not retaliate for the death of King Von.

“He my brother, too, After the sh*t happened with Von and all that sh*t was happening, bruh, I was the one really in bro’s ear like, ‘I don’t want to be this person in your ear to say let that sh*t chill, don’t move on it.’ But bruh, I’ma be there personally to let you know, bruh, that this cycle we in as Black men is a never-ending cycle. Cause at the end of the day, bruh, we one person. We got one conscious mind.”

Choppa has admitted how he sees life a bit differently now and has a new viewpoint on things. Putting that wisdom to life, he persuaded Durk to calm down and not let the feelings get the best of him. He has realized how traumatic death can be in a people’s life.

NLE also spoke on the point of people having similar thoughts on a matter no matter the race they represent. Choppa knows “what’s up with life now.” “This is why I don’t do nothing out of spite to people.” said the rapper.

It is good to hear a person having rational thoughts talk a person out of a stressful situation. Choppa has proved his worth by being a friend to Durk and showing him different non-violent solutions to such events.
