Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin appear to be off to a good start in 2022. The former couple’s most recent meeting has many believing the stars are reuniting. Lowry recently posted a snapshot of a text interaction she had with her ex-husband Javi.

Recently, a user published Javi’s parenting idealogy to kick off a Reddit discussion. The headline of the discussion read: Is anyone else really upset at Javi for filling his kid’s heads with fear when he says he has to “fight the bad guys” while explaining his deployment?

The Redditor explained how his parents always downplayed what his dad was gonna do on his deployments. His dad was a teacher when he wasn’t a solider and would tell them he was teaching the civilians English when in reality he was teaching them how to fight Al-Qaeda alongside the American troops.

A Redditor said: “No. My husband was in law enforcement and would go to work to “find bad guys” and it didn’t scare our kids. They were proud of him and probably felt a little safer knowing dad was taking care of things.”

Another stated: “As a child of a father that used that excuse to go pick up drugs when I was young, I don’t see the problem.”

A third person chimed in: “What really bothered me was how hard he went telling Isaac he was the man of the house and needed to take care of things now. What was he, five? He was already losing a parent figure and feeling very insecure and upset, so hey, why not randomly pretend (for no reason, I might add) that he’s also going to have a mountain of very serious adult responsibilities dumped on him? Genius! 🙄 Tell the kid he’s going to be taken care of the same as always FFS…”

A commentator pointed out: “I have a retired military brother with 4 kids, and he used to say pretty much the same thing. I don’t think it scared the kids. It made them feel proud. They would be sad that their dad is gone of course, but knowing he was a hero like Captain America made it worth it.”
