Akon has got himself in some legal trouble. The artist is being sued by a former business partner for owing him money from a prior settlement agreement.

According to The NEWS, music executive, Devyne Stephens claimed in new court documents Akon owes him nearly $4 million dollars from a previous business venture. Stephens has previously worked with several high profile musicians in the industry including Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, Usher, Pink and TLC.

The music exec accused the singer of owing him nearly $750,00 and at least $3 million in royalties in an amended complaint filed in Manhattan Supreme Court. The updates suit claimed, under the 2018 agreement, the 48-year-old singer agreed to pay Stephens $3.25 million over the course of four years but he still hasn’t paid the last instalment of $750,000,

This is the third time that Stephens had to to drag Akon to the court after the pair called off their business partnership. Meanwhile, Akon has yet to respond to the accusations.
