Klay Thompson is becoming one of the most remarkable sports comeback stories of the year. Thompson had not played for two and a half years before returning to the Golden State Warriors last week. Injuries to his ACL and Achilles forced Klay to undergo a very long and difficult rehab.

Since he came back, Klay has been his old self. Last night, he dropped 21 on the Detroit Pistons. After the game, Thompson was asked how he felt about his return thus far, according to Clutch Points.

“Yes, just to be out there and have no hesitation, whether it’s going to the rim, or stopping behind a screen for 3. I feel like myself, and these days were hard to see in the past.

But I give myself a lot of credit for taking my rehab stints very seriously, and attacking it like I would an NBA season. So, hopefully, I got a lot more years left in me, to do what I love to do.”

Steph Curry has already given props to Klay for his outstanding comeback. Klay is just happy to be on the hardwood again. Warriors fans couldn’t be more delighted with the way things are going.

Golden State is sitting pretty in the Western Conference with a 32-12 record. The addition of Klay Thompson has only further sparked the team. The Warriors are going to be one of the teams to beat come playoff time.
