Bob Saget was best known for his role on the ABC sitcom Full House. Saget also hosted a weekly collection of funny clips called America’s Funniest Home Videos. The show has long since been taken over by Alfonso Ribeiro, but the format remains largely the same.

Ribeiro shared an emotional tribute to Saget, who recently passed away at the age of 65. Bob hosted the show from 1989 through 1997. Alfonso was honored to carry the show’s torch after Bob Saget left.

“Bob Saget is synonymous with AFV to this day. This show wouldn’t have been the same without his unique sense of humor. It’s been my honor to continue carrying the torch Bob so brightly lit. Take a look back at Bob being Bob.”

The show then played a package of highlights of Bob Saget’s time as host of AFV. There was a ton of nostalgia. It included clips from the series’ 20th anniversary special in 2009.

The show’s YouTube channel also shared the clip. It was yet another tribute to a man who was beloved by fans and celebrities everywhere. Very few people ever had an unkind word to say about the famous TV dad.

As the world continues to come to terms with the loss of such a beloved figure, more and more touching dedications have come out. America’s Funniest Home Videos was a huge part of Bob Saget’s career. It was a fitting tribute to a man who helped make us all laugh.
