Bob Saget was best known for his role on the ABC sitcom Full House. Saget also hosted a weekly collection of funny clips called America’s Funniest Home Videos. The show has long since been taken over by Alfonso Ribeiro, but the format remains largely the same.

Ribeiro shared an emotional tribute to Saget, who recently passed away at the age of 65. Bob hosted the show from 1989 through 1997. Alfonso was honored to carry the show’s torch after Bob Saget left.

“Bob Saget is synonymous with AFV to this day. This show wouldn’t have been the same without his unique sense of humor. It’s been my honor to continue carrying the torch Bob so brightly lit. Take a look back at Bob being Bob.”

The show then played a package of highlights of Bob Saget’s time as host of AFV. There was a ton of nostalgia. It included clips from the series’ 20th anniversary special in 2009.
