Chris Brown is one of the biggest R&B stars in the world. Brown’s career has stayed hot despite having its share of controversy. The divisive rapper recently dropped a brand-new music video. It might not be what fans were expecting.

Chris released the clip for his new single “Iffy” on Friday. The music video reunited Brown with Joseph Kahn and takes a unique angle compared to his earlier work. “Iffy” is heavily inspired by sci-fi and kung fu movies.

Michael Jackson’s “Moonwalker” is channeled through and through as Brown fights his way through legions of bad guys in a dystopic future. The choreography is second to none as the singer shows off his signature moves. The dark tone of the video dovetails nicely with a wild, action-packed story.

It was a lot to cram into a three-minute video. Chris Brown clearly brought some of his favorite influences to the table. Kahn put his own spin on the concept, and it seems to work.
