Snoop Dogg is by far the most chill artist in the rap scene, and he is acknowledged as a legend. Heidi Klum, on the other hand, is a supermodel, a TV personality, and now an aspiring dance music star. Snoop and Heidi have collaborated to release a dance single.
The 48-year-old German-American diva has collaborated with hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg on a single called “Chai Tea with Heidi.” Klum’s comeback to music comes 16 years after her 2006 Christmas smash, “Wonderland,” which was created by Wedding Cake and released on Friday.
Klum stated that Snoop Dogg was her first option for a potential collaborator. In October last year, the mother-of-four suggested that they were working on music when she uploaded a selfie of the two in a recording studio with her 8.9 million Instagram followers to commemorate Snoop’s birthday.
Heidi discussed the history of their collaboration with The Sun.
“I am a huge Snoop Dogg fan and I figured I needed to go big or go home. I contacted him about the idea and, to my surprise and delight, he invited me to come to his studio. I love a song that makes people want to dance and have fun… and Snoop helped deliver just that.”
“Chai Tea with Heidi” is a cover of Rod Stewart’s 1983 hit “Baby Jane,” featuring Klum singing the lines. The song also acts as the introductory theme for Klum’s modeling competition reality show “Germany’s Next Topmodel,” which is in its 17th season.
“When I give my heart again, I know. It’s gonna last forever. No one tell me where or when, I know. It’s gonna last forever. When I fall in love again, I know. It’s gonna last forever.”
Snoop lends his unique flow to the anthemic club track while wearing a fur coat and sunglasses in the accompanying black-and-white music video, which was photographed by famed photographer Rankin. Klum struts her stuff in a variety of form-fitting ensembles.
Let’s see whether their followers love and support their collaboration enough. Keep an eye on Thirsty for updated information.
