John Cena is a 16-time World Champion who carried the organization through the PG era on his shoulders. Due to his hectic schedule in Hollywood, John Cena became a part-timer in WWE in 2017 and has only appeared sporadically since then. Recently Cena said he isn’t picking any sides in the Rock vs. Vin Diesel feud.

Although John Cena has a long history with The Rock, he is not taking sides in The Rock’s Fast & Furious dispute with Vin Diesel. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Diesel have been feuding for years after a brawl on the set of The Fate of the Furious. It resulted in a public spat.

While things were eventually resolved in the public eye. Johnson has stated that he will not return to the main series of the film franchise, referring to Diesel’s recent social media plea for him to return as “an example of his manipulation”. He noted that he did not appreciate Diesel bringing his children and Paul Walker into the matter.

During an appearance on Pardon My Take, Cena, who played the brother of Diesel’s character in F9: The Fast Saga, was asked about the conflict. He avoided taking sides and explained his position on the issue.

“I don’t think that story is about taking sides. That story is about hearing everybody’s perspective and it is a story where, me as a fan of the franchise, I’d love the franchise to get together for this last run. I hope they call me to be in it but when someone says professional, they want to go in another direction, if you say anything other than, ‘okay,’ it’s their professional opinion to make the choice that they want. I think that’s very brave and very honest.”

“So I think Vin’s perspective has a lot of gravity and honesty and I think Dwayne’s perspective has a lot of gravity and honesty I think this is, man if we could just stop taking sides and just take a second to hear everybody. These are two amazingly successful superstars, people who have crafted their own existence and are globally adored. Vin’s been the father of the Fast franchise, he’s coming in on his 10th installment. Dwayne started as the most electrifying sports entertainer in the history of sports entertainment and he is now in his own universe. I guess it’s just about understanding where each guy is coming from. That’s all.”
