Pooh Shiesty could be going away for a while. The Memphis rapper pleaded guilty in court to one charge, and it was a heavy one.

Rolling Stone reports that Pooh Shiesty is looking at a possible eight-year prison sentence for the conspiracy charge. Three heavier charges were dropped by prosecutors, but he is still in federal court.

The rapper was in court on Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to possess a firearm. They dropped other drug-traffic and violent charges, ones that could have landed a lifetime bid, but he is still looking at some time behind bars.

Due to this updated situation, prosecutors are now suggesting no more than a ninety-month sentence. Pooh Shiesty is 22-years-old, so we’ll have to see how the rest of his life plays out for him.

Shiesty has been busy behind bars, because he was able to drop a track from lockdown. Only time will tell when the music will stop for him.

This is an unfortunate trend in that offshoot of rap music. Some of the best in the game get there because they are hard on the streets. Now Pooh Shiesty appears to be another rapper who spends time behind bars.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
