Tom Brady is arguably one of the greatest football players in the history of the sport. He also isn’t afraid to speak his mind when it comes to NFL’s rules and regulations. It seems he recently stood up for Antonio Brown after his recent antics as well.
Brady’s time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is always a huge topic of discussion as the quarterback continues to play at a remarkable rate despite being 44 years old right now.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown recently did a very bizarre thing during Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. During the third quarter of the game, Brown was seen walking shirtless into the locker room, which shocked just about everyone.
Brown had removed his helmet, jersey and shoulder pads, and was seen throwing his gloves and undershirt to the New Jersey crowd as he ran to one of the end zones while the game was still going on. He was heavily criticized by man for his actions as well.
While speaking to the media, Tom Brady talked about Antonio Brown’s recent actions. Brady stated that fans should be more compassionate and empathetic towards Brown.
“That’s obviously a difficult situation. I think everybody should do what they can to help in ways that he really needs it. We all love him. We care about him deeply. We want to see him be at his best, and unfortunately, it won’t be with our team.
We have a lot of friendships that will last and again, I think the most important thing about football are the relationships with your friends and your teammates and they go beyond the field. I think everyone should be very compassionate and empathetic toward some very difficult things that are happening.”
It remains to be seen what will become of Antonio Brown after his recent antics, as he has definitely lost the respect of fans and peers alike.
