Nicki Minaj’s husband put her in a bad light considering the past accusations on him. This took a few bad turns with fans and now Kenneth “Zoo” Petty is being sued for $20 million.

Nicole Hough claims that Nicki and her husband tried to intimidate her into recanting a statement regarding allegations against Petty. That alleged incident went down in 1994.

According to AllHipHop, Nicki Minaj denied all claims that Hough made. Hough sys that she was offered $500k to keep her lip zipped, but turned it down. Minaj is also denying that claim.

“During the call, I never asked her to change her story; I never offered her any money in return for a statement, and I did not threaten her with any type of harm if she chose not to provide a statement,” Nicki Minaj said in statements to Judge Eric Vitaliano. “In fact, I emphatically told her that I did not want her to lie about anything and to tell the truth about what she had just revealed to me only if she was comfortable with doing so.”

It is alleged that an October trip to Queens to the mural dedicated to the late Sena Bell went wrong when gang signs were thrown up related to Bloods subset Makk Baller Brims. Nicki rallied against that accusation as well.

“While my husband and I recognized a few friends and acquaintances from the neighborhood that night, including Rico Danna, an artist whom I intend to sign to my label, none of them belong to any gang. Further, we did not plan to meet anyone in advance because we had not planned to stop there. Once I came out of the car, the news traveled quickly, and people just showed up.”

Petty is currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty for failing to register as a sex offender in 2021. That went down when he moved in with Nicki Minaj in California. Petty served four years after being convicted of attempted rape of a 16-year-old in 1995. That is something Nicki’s detractors still use against her.

Nicki Minaj’s husband will be sentenced in March and he could face 10 years behind bars. In the meantime, Minaj is standing by her man and not aligning with any gangs.

With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
