Kobe Bryant’s death was a tragic turn of events and nine people lost their lives that day. Now the company responsible is going to court over one of those deaths.

The Mamba Sports Academy is suing the helicopter company that was responsible for the deadly crash. The Academy had to pay up for funeral and death expenses, and they want compensated.

Court documents obtained by TMZ stated that the Mamba Sports Academy is suing over the death of Christina Mauser, a girls basketball coach who was on that fatal trip. She was employed by the gym at the time of her untimely passing.

The Mamba Sports Academy paid “death benefits and burial expenses” to her family that exceeded $127,000. They are arguing that Island Express should be on the hook for that bill, because the crash was due to their negligence.

Mauser and eight others, including Kobe and Gigi Bryant, died that fateful day in January 2020. It’s been two years since we lost them, and this situation is still far from over in the courtroom.
