Kodak Black never seems to get out of trouble. The rapper has always been involved in serious criminal acts previously and now has another felony to his name. Trump isn’t around to pardon him this time either.
Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was arrested in Pompano Beach early on New Year’s morning for trespassing. The Broward Sheriff’s Office said Black was taken into custody in his hometown. Kodak was taken in at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday near the 1600 block of Northwest 10th Drive in Golden Acres.
Black grew up in Pompano Beach. He was honored in June for his philanthropy. The proclamation was sponsored by former Broward commissioner and mayor Dale Holness.
The rapper paid college costs for three children of the two FBI agents killed during a raid in Sunrise in February. The funeral costs for a police officer in South Carolina were also covered by him. He donated $100,000 to the Nova Southeastern University law school in memory of Meadow Pollack, a victim in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting in 2018.
This is not the first time for Kodak to be convicted of something. He was prosecuted on federal weapons offences in May 2019 while attempting to purchase firearms. He was out on bond for sexual assault charged in South Carolina at the time.
On the last day of his presidency, the former President Donald Trump commuted Black’s prison sentence in 2020. No other information has yet been provided about his arrest. We will be looking out for more updates on this case.
