Betty White has passed away at 99. The beloved member of the Golden Girls cast and so many other memorable moments has died just weeks before a milestone 100th birthday. Betty meant the world to millions of fans who are expressing their shock and sadness.

The cause of her death is unknown at this time. Authorities confirmed with TMZ that she passed away at her home on Friday. This is a tragic turn of events, there has been an outpour of tweets contemplating the tragic loss.

Betty was surely a national treasure. Her positivity and joyful personality was an inspiration to many fans. She also maintained a close friendship with many celebrities and was a favorite to have involve with any project. Betty White never lost her spirit in any of her public appearances until the end of her time with us.

She maintained her cheerful and entertaining image always. Ahead of her milestone birthday, Betty even sat down for an interview with People’s magazine a few days back where she revealed her tips to live a happy life. Betty had planned to give fans the best birthday with a special one-night-only theatrical event. Betty White: 100 Years Young – a Birthday Celebration is set to be shown in 900 cinemas nationwide on Jan. 17, 2022.

Having over 120 acting credits to her name, her career spanned decades but Betty White remained timeless. This is certainly a tragic way to end 2021 as we enter a new year. Betty White’s legacy and memory will certainly be celebrated for decades to come. We are deeply saddened by this loss.

WWE Superstar, and Golden Girls superfan, Xavier Woods put it best when he said, “I hope that the people who were lucky enough to be close to her are doing alright. Call your loved ones and let them know what they mean to you.”
