The Kansas City Chiefs are on the brink of becoming the next NFL dynasty. They won the Super Bowl in 2020. On Sunday, they easily dispatched the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Chiefs also have the franchise quarterback to lead them to the promised land. Patrick Mahomes has become one of the NFL’s top players and continues to impress. Kansas City’s offense is the envy of every team in the league.

ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky talked about what he thought it would take to knock off KC on this morning’s First Take. He offered a surprising answer as to who he thinks are the Chief’s biggest threat. The former QB believes that title belongs to the Indianapolis Colts.

“I think the team that is best suited to knock [the Chiefs] off is the Indianapolis Colts! … I think that their quarterback had a MOMENT this past weekend!”

The Colts could be poised to make some noise in this year’s NFL playoffs. They improved to 9-6 with a victory over a very strong Arizona Cardinals team on Christmas Day. Carson Wentz is playing the role of game manager nicely. He has been able to light it up when his team needs it.

The Chiefs must also concern themselves with the reigning Super Bowl champions. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Bucs easily dominated the Chiefs in last year’s Super Bowl. If they can get past the Colts, Patrick Mahomes has a date with destiny.
