Diddy is out here doing his part to make the world a better place. The rapper cancelled his opulent annual New Year’s Eve bash. Diddy made the decision fearing the pandemic taking a turn for the worse.

As reported by TMZ, Diddy was set to have a bash on the 31st of December. The mogul was planning to throw his annual NYE party in Miami Friday night, inviting 500 of his closest friends. However, earlier this month he decided to scrap the entire plan due to rising COVID cases in Florida and across the nation.

Diddy hosted the party yearly before the pandemic hit. It would always be famed star studded night. He was forced to cancel in 2020 as well, because most people had not yet been vaccinated. The last time Diddy had his NYE party was back in 2019. Numerous celebs attended the soiree at Story Nightclub in Miami … including Fat Joe, Winnie Harlow, Meek Mill, DaBaby and DJ Khaled.

Another rapper to take a similar decision was Bow Wow. He not only cancelled his plans but also urged his fans to not go forward with theirs. Even the Kardashians, who don’t usually scale down on their celebrations decided to keep it on the low.

Of course, The Kardashian Xmas party was still luxurious and grand. Only the amount of guests were somewhat reduced. The news comes as Omicron cases are skyrocketing across the United States. As per the CDC, the variant accounts for as high as 90% of Corona cases right now.
