MTV’s Teen Mom became a cultural sensation for the way it depicts the daily drama of young mothers and their families. Many believe the entire format is exploitative. The show takes young, immature people and follows as they try to deal with very adult situations.

The latest victim of the online vitriol is Leah Messer. She posted a Christmas selfie with boyfriend Jaylan Mobley on Instagram. Fans on Reddit wasted no time as they bashed her for the unrecognizable photo.
