Smith’s victim is a 16-year-old girl, who stated that she first got in contact with Smith through a dating app, and snuck out to see him voluntarily.

In contradiction, according to documents obtained by The Sun, the girl initially told the police that she was visiting her family in Indiana, when Smith had kidnapped her from her room.

In her initial report to the police, the girl had mentioned that she had exchanged Snapchat details with someone selling a cat, who had in turn given her address to Smith.

Later that evening, Smith had broken in through the girl’s bedroom window, and abducted her in a truck. The girl alleged that Smith had assaulted her in the truck, and then taken her to a motel room where he raped her.
