Celebrities are frequently pre-judged when it comes to allegations of crime. Fans hear about an incident and quickly jump to conclusions. Many careers have been ruined even though the target of public scrutiny was ultimately exonerated.

Once news breaks of a celeb being accused of a crime, it’s hard to flip the narrative. That is especially true when it comes to violent and serious crimes. Kay Flock was recently arrested for murder. His attorney says he is a victim of such public prejudice.

A 24-year-old man was shot to death after an altercation at a Manhattan barber shop. Flock was quickly brought into custody as the prime suspect. Flock’s lawyer Scott Leemon says he received a tip that Kay Flock wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger in the December 16th shooting, according to AllHipHop.

“Yesterday, I accompanied Kevin as he self-surrendered to Detectives in the
30th precinct. Arrangements were immediately made with NYPD once I learned he was wanted.

As to the charges levied against him, we have begun out own investigation
into these allegations. More importantly, considering the DA’s significant disclosure this morning that the NYPD received a tip saying someone else is the shooter, we demanded the DA’s office provide prompt disclosure of the videos
referenced in the complaint and more information on the tip.

We will address bail once we have had a chance to review the pertinent
discovery and to further investigate the DA’s noteworthy disclosure.”

Kay Flock is facing very serious charges that could bring an end to his promising career if he is convicted. His attorney is hoping to win in the court of public opinion as the eventual trial nears. His life and career could very well depend on it.
