Cardi B frequently takes to Twitter to express her views on social affairs. Recently, she slammed Kim Potter after the Daunte Wright conviction.

This week, Kim Potter was convicted of first and second degree manslaughter in connection to the Daunte Wright shooting. She was one of the police officers who pulled Wright over during a traffic stop. Soon a struggle ensued.

When the Police officers found out Wright had an outstanding warrant, they tried to arrest him. He reportedly got into a struggle with the police officers. Potter shot and killed him at close range.

Following the tragic incident, tens of thousands people flooded Twitter, tweeting away about this controversy. Among them was Cardi B, she shared a screenshot of Potter’s most recent mugshot. In the snap, the officer can be seen giving a wide smile at the camera.

Cardi blasted Kim on her Tweet. She claimed her cries on the testimony seemed fake but her smile in the mugshot was genuine. Fans soon wondered why Kim was smiling. Cardi replied,

“She’s smiling cause she only got manslaughter also because now she don’t have to fake it and she CAN LIVE IN HER TRUTH…Her truth is ‘ yea I killed him and what?!'”

Potter currently faces over 15 years behind bars. Though many believe Potter will receive a much shorter sentence. Our condolences go to the victim’s family. You can check out Cardi’s tweets below.
