One “Dancing With the Stars” cameraman has been detained in Los Angeles. Michael Ansbach was detained in connection with the murders of two ladies, Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola. He was later formally arrested on suspicion of manslaughter accessory. This is certainly not the headline the popular dance competition wanted to grab this morning.
Back in November, aspiring model/actress Christy Giles, 24, and architect Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, were murdered. Three men were arrested on December 16 in connection with their deaths. According to the New York Post, both the LAPD and Giles’ husband, Jan Cilliers, confirmed the arrests.
The women were dumped outside of two hospitals in the Los Angeles region. Cabrales-Arzola spent two weeks in a coma before being taken off life support. Giles was found dead on the sidewalk. The two women were thought to have overdosed while partying with the men charged for their deaths.
“It is believed that both women were given drugs and overdosed. Based on the investigation, the LAPD is concerned that there could be other victims in our community who could have been drugged by one or more of these men.”
Michael Ansbach is a crew member on “Dancing With the Stars,” “Shark Tank,” “LA Ink,” “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here,” “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” “Wicked Tuna,” and “Vanderpump Rules,” was arrested for accessory to manslaughter. Along with him, Brandt Osborn, an actor was arrested on the set of “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
Both men were both arrested and jailed on a $100,000 bond before being released. At this moment, they are awaiting formal charges.
