Stephen A. Smith has been critical of athletes not getting COVID vaccines. He recently blasted Kyrie Irving over his refusal to get vaccinated. Now, the TV personality is speaking up about his own experience dealing with the virus.

The 54-year-old recently revealed he had tested positive for the coronavirus over the weekend. Smith made the revelation during the opening segment of First Take. His voice seemed a bit down due to the virus.

“I’ve tested positive for COVID-19, I have the Coronavirus. I learned this over the weekend. I got tested three times last week prior to the weekend and I tested negative. I had tested negative before I departed for L.A.

“I tested negative when I got to L.A., I tested negative when I got back from L.A. […] I’m feeling fine. Mild symptoms. Thank God I was vaccinated. Thank God I got the Pfizer vaccine, two shots a few months ago.”

It’s great to see Smith opening up about his experiences dealing with the symptoms of the virus. We wish him nothing but a speed recovery and encourage our readers to stay safe during these trying times.
