Sports is all about competition and it appears that two retired basketball legends have some friendly barbs for each other.

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most beloved figures in the world of professional sports, and for good reason. This year, just like every other, Shaq organized his 20th annual Shaq-A-Claus event, hooking students up with backpacks, Walmart gift cards, toys, clothes, haircuts and more.

Shaq joined Charles Barkley and Babcock on “TMZ Live” to discuss the event, and delivered yet another gift this holiday season, in the form of a delightful roast of Barkley.

The conversation moved on from spreading holiday cheer to yet another topical subject, holiday weight. The hosts asked Shaq how he manages to keep himself in shape during the holidays, and he responded with a joke about C.B.O.T.B.B., or “Charles Barkley Over The Belt Belly.” Then he got serious, after all Shaq wants to get into the shape of his life at 50.

I never wanna have that, so I just try to eat right and try to stay slim.

It’s definitely lovely to watch Shaq always keeping it real. She legend also talked about his motivation for organizing the Shaq-A-Claus event, calling it a tribute to his mother.

This is all about making the kids happy, but, more importantly, it’s all about making my mother happy… for her to see her baby boy doing good things like she taught him to do, that right there is one of the best feelings.

It certainly is heartwarming to watch our icons work so hard to bring about a positive change in the world. They also had some fun in the process. Here’s wishing a very happy holiday season to Shaq. Check out the interview below.
