Tristan Thompson has been struggling to get his personal life together. A series of cheating allegations led to his breakup with Khloé Kardashian. He then faced baby mama drama with Maralee Nichols. Now she is speaking out after so many shared their opinion on the situation.

Nichols became pregnant and media reports ran wild that Tristan fathered the child out of infidelity. Court documents related to the case showed that Maralee’s baby was conceived while Thompson was still dating Kardashian. She subsequently sued for child support.

Nichols recently talked to E! to set the record straight about the drama. She said there have been many inaccurate or false reports circulating about the case. Maralee told the outlet that if you didn’t hear it from her, you can’t believe it.

“Over the past couple of weeks, many inaccurate and false stories have been circulated about me. I have not at any point released—nor have I directed anyone else to release—any information regarding Tristan Thompson or any litigation involving him. I have never spoken to any media outlet, nor have I leaked any information to anyone at any time. I am providing this statement because I feel I must defend my character.

I have seen fake stories, unflattering photos of me, people using photos that are not even me, stating an incorrect occupation and age. There have been multiple fake Instagram posts claiming to be me, making false statements and attaching stock photos of a sonogram and a child (neither mine)…

These are the facts: I have lived in California since 2019. I am not a personal trainer. I have not worked as a personal trainer for four years; I do fitness modeling. I was never a personal trainer for Tristan. He told me he was single and co-parenting. I would never have gotten involved with Tristan if I thought he was in a relationship.

Tristan’s people didn’t respond immediately to requests for comment. Nichols says she’s tried to keep the matter private, but the media won’t allow it. She noted that after she filed the paternity action in L.A., Thompson did the same in Texas.

Despite the misunderstandings and potential for misinformation, the legal actions do exist. They will play out in the court system. Maralee Nichols is simply asking fans to be patient and not buy into what she believes is sensationalized coverage of a very personal matter.
