The court hearing regarding Tory Lanez’s shooting case took place this week. Lanez shot at rapper Megan Thee Stallion earlier last year. With the hearing just taken place, the case has been generating a significant amount of media buzz.

One of the more recent stories surrounding the case has to do with an alleged fight between Megan Thee Stallion and Kelsey Nicole, prior to the shooting. However, Megan took to Twitter to speak out against this narrative.

I’ve been SHOT and the focus of some these headlines are dismissing that I was attacked with a WEPON WHILE I WAS UNARMED and trying to paint it as a cat fight between friends why do I have to relive this with everyone on the internet every day ? And watch y’all gaslight me.

It is unfortunate that Megan has to resort to social media to remind people that she is a victim in this case. The rapper also complained about the current state of journalism, questioning whether journalists even care about accurate and credible sources anymore.

Megan’s former friend, Kelsey Nicole, with whom she allegedly had the aforementioned fight, has yet to speak out about the incident. However, she has stated that she will be speaking her truth soon. Check out Megan’s tweets below.
