Gary Payton II of the Golden State Warriors recently earned the respect of at least one Indiana Pacers fan. After accidentally spilling the fan’s drink, he made sure it was quickly replaced. Payton happened to be wearing a mic when the incident went down.

Payton immediately apologized. He figured out what the fan was having. Just as soon, he’d instructed an arena staffer to get a replacement Truly for the one he’d spilled.

“My fault, my fault, what was that? Can you get him another beer? I just dropped his. What’d you have? A Truly?”

Later, Payton returned to exchange a fist bump with the fan. It was a nice interaction in a sports world that can sometimes turn ugly. Fortunately, the incident just happened to come with full audio.
