YG is being sued by a rapper who claims he stole his hit song, ‘Go Loko.’ The hit, which features Tyga and Jon Z, has been accused of being plagiarized. Rapper Young Caliber says his song, “LoCo,” came out in July of 2015.

Caliber says the song was marketed on social media at the time of its release. He was shocked when he heard the YG hit. ‘Go Loko’ came out in May of 2019, according to AllHipHop.

Caliber says the YG song has almost the same exact instrumentation as his. He says the lyrics are similar enough that it can’t be a coincidence. He claims that there would be no ‘Go Loko’ without his ‘LoCo’ being ripped off.

YG’s ‘Go Loko’ has sold over two million copies worldwide. It was the second single from YG’s ‘4Real 4Real.’ Young Caliber’s song only has 16,000 views on YouTube.

YG’s song has 200 million views on the same platform. Young Caliber says that YG could’ve seen the video and stolen the song. Given the obscurity of the track, it is possible, but highly unlikely.

Young Caliber’s suit targets YG and Def Jam. He’s suing for copyright infringement and unjust enrichment. DJ Mustard, who produced the track, does not appear to be included in the suit.
