On Sunday, Doja Cat revealed that she can no longer continue the rest of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour as she has tested positive for Covid-19.This news is a blow to her fans who were hoping to see her perform live.
Announcing this news on Twitter, Doja said her spirits her down as she won’t be able to celebrate the holidays with her fans in Philly, DC, Atlanta and Miami. She’s hoping to recover as soon as possible so that she could start performing in front of the crowd again. “Unfortunately, I’m sad to share that I just tested positive as well and will no longer be able to perform on the rest of the [tour],” Doja wrote on Instagram and Twitter.
Previously she pulled out from stops in Boston and New York after certain crew members tested positive earlier this weekend, but now it seems like Doja won’t be able to hit the road at all for the rest of the tour.
Doja shared a remedy to her sickness on Twitter: “turmeric ginger water sleep repeat x500”. After the announcement she hopped back on Instagram Live to interact with her fans and do some makeup, all while jamming out to music. She seems to be in good spirits.
Lil Nas X and Coldplay pulled out of the UK’s annual Jingle Ball Tour which forced a change in the lineup. As for the U.S. Tour, Saweetie, AJR, Megan Thee Stallion, the Jonas Brothers and more are all set to perform at various dates.
