Just weeks after Katie Thurston broke up with her ex-fiancé, Blake Moynes, she went public with her relationship with John Hersey. The pair recently decided to nullify a bad juju which involved an outfit.

Thurston and Hersey met on her season of The Bachelorette and ended up becoming really close friends. Months after the show wrapped, they ended up falling in love with each other. There was one thing in particular that made headlines about their relationship — and that was Hersey’s outfit.

At the 2017 People’s Choice Awards, Hersey chose to wear the gray suit that he got dumped on The Bachelorette. According to Us Weekly. Thurston said on her Instagram Stories,

“This is the suit that John got dumped in. I mean, we had to reverse that bad juju. So, we’re good now.”

Thurston has been hearing a lot of whispers after revealing that she and Hersey were dating. She was formerly engaged to someone else from her season. At that time, the pair were spotted hanging out a lot despite the fact that they were just friends.

Naturally, fans have questioned the timeline. Many even speculated if Thurston cheated on Moynes with Hersey. Thurston decided to defend her relationship on TikTok and denied all rumors. She defended her new romance stating:

“Always loved him as my best friend. Then one day I looked at him and saw him differently. Like Cupid to the heart, I knew I was hit. It would have never worked on TV. We had 6+ months of a friendship that showed me who he is as a person.”

The TikTok appears to have been deleted since then. In any case, the gray suit bad juju seems to be deleted as well and they must be relieved about it.
