The season 2 Tory-Miguel relationship strikes another nail in their rivalry coffin. In season 2 however, Sam moved on from Diaz and began dating Robby Keene. Despite this fact, their rivalry kept on intensifying.
Tory’s hatred towards Sam hit the ceiling when she caught her kissing Miguel at a party. Season 2 finale featured Tory’s attacks on Sam in retaliation for kissing her boyfriend. The massive brawl continued through season 3 where they faced off again.
The season 3 fight took place in the Sam’s home. Tory eventually left her house frustrated after being dominated by Sam. The season 4 trailer premiered on December 9th. It teases the upcoming rivalry development that is going to happen between the two.
In an interview with Screen Rant, the creators of Cobra Kai, Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald, and Hayden Schlossberg, discussed the show’s upcoming season. The season will premiere on December 31, 2021. In the December interview, Hurwitz revealed that Tory and Sam’s rivalry will play out during the fourth season. The executive producer told the publication:
“There’s clearly no love lost between the two of them. As we move forward into season 4, how is Sam going to respond to what’s gone on with Tory? And what causes a person like Tory to do the things she’s done? Maybe we get to explore a little bit of her world and see a little bit of her perspective.”
Hurwitz confirmed that Sam and Tory’s “rivalry is far from finished.” He further referenced that they may clash at the upcoming All Valley Tournament.
