NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has cemented himself as one of the greatest players in basketball history. He is also a huge pro wrestling fan, having made appearances in both WWE and AEW. It seems he made a huge claim as well.

As big a name O’Neal might be, he recently stated that he doesn’t consider himself a celebrity and prefers to keep his distance from that label at all times. That didn’t stop him from enjoying himself.

While speaking on The Dan Patrick Show, Shaquille O’Neal described what would have happened if he had wrestled André the Giant. Being a huge man himself, it seems O’Neal was confident as he stated that he would beat the WWE legend.

“I would have beat him like I beat Charles Barkley.”

A match between AEW star Paul Wight and O’Neal was first teased back in 2009 on an episode of Monday Night RAW. After that, O’Neal and Paul Wight had another interaction at WrestleMania 32, where they competed in the Andre The Giant Battle Memorial.

We will have to wait and see just when the two behemoths will face off against each other as it will definitely be a match for the ages.
