Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam is all set to takeover the DC Universe in July of 2022. The Rock has been attached to the project for years and now its finally time for him to take the superhero world by storm.

While speaking to Total Film magazine, Johnson opened up about donning the very first edition of the Black Adam costume during filming. The former WWE Superstar said that he “f**king hated” that costume because everything felt very “padded.”

However, as soon as the problem was spotted, the team started reworking on the costume and the next version was something that helped Johnson feel like he was Black Adam.

These are the best costume-makers in the business, who have done all the most amazing costumes. They’re so talented. They come over to the house. I put it on. And I f*cking hate this costume. Everything was padded. So they immediately start tearing and cutting and ripping. When I put that costume on the second time with no padding, just cut in a way where it was enhancing the work that I had put in – I felt… I’m Black Adam.

Johnson also said that his physique in Black Adam is the best he’s been in his whole career. He also said that the original costume would have made sure that his muscles were padded without him having to undergo heavy physical transformation.

Since that was highly uncomfortable for Johnson, he decided to go the other direction and got in a shape that would render the padding useless and hence give him a much more costume.
