Survivor star Spencer Reiman Bledsoe is under fire for his not so woke comments. Bledsoe faced an extraordinary reckoning from the show’s fanbase which once used to adore him.

Many consider his first season, in which he was placed fourth as one of the greatest in the show’s history. This is partly due to his feud with fellow contestant Kass McQuillen. Both were voted back into the game by fans a year later for season 31, where Spencer ended up placing second.

Reiman’s fall from grace came after he put forward his opinions about feminist talking points, transrights and the COVID-91 vaccines on his Blog posts. In addition to this he held an impromptu “Ask Me” session in which these issues were discussed.

Bledsoe made a Substack blog post commenting on multiple societal issues including “the patriarchy,” the definition of “women,” and the COVID-19 vaccine. In his Reddit AMA he has been accused of spreading misinformation about vaccines.

Reiman said he didn’t take the COVID vaccine as he thinks “the risks outweigh the benefits“. He came back to clear his name saying he is not an “Anti-Vaxxer”. Bledsoe respects the free will of all individuals to make their own choice on the vaccine. However, simply feels vaccine mandates are “tyrannical”.

The survivor star was also called “transphobic”. While describing his views of the patriarchy and how women have been treated in the world, Bledsoe strongly disagreed with the usage of inclusively language to benefit transgendered people. He also said terms like “toxic masculinity” were “abhorrent”.

Spencer Bledsoe was highly regarded for being very open about his mental health struggles, including depression and anxiety. He has vigorously documented how he had these struggles since before his time on the show.
