George Lopez found himself in the unenviable position of being responsible for an emergency at his comedy show. It’s not for us to say who’s duty it is when such an event occurs, but in light of recent events and the Travis Scott Astroworld disaster still being such a recent occurrence more conscientiousness is requisite.

Lopez was performing on Friday at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio when, suddenly during his set. a man turned quite ill and seemed like he was in significant distress in the balcony area. It roused enough attention that the lights were turned on to find out what happened.

In a video made at the event, which seemed to be a few minutes after the man started losing consciousness, people who were in his party were attending to him and trying to take care of him. They eventually fetched the event staff or the staff of the venue to offer some medical help to the man. Later the man, made it safely in good health to the hospital and since is doing well.

The real concern is that George Lopez didn’t skip a beat at this. In fact, he incorporated the commotion into his bit and even got a good few laughs out of it.

In all fairness, George didn’t have any idea what was going on, as it is difficult to tell and be on top of everything. It is understandably tough to handle the room and to perform when suddenly a freak incident like it takes place. There have been no statements on the event from the comedian so far.
