Ari Lennox was arrested at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport Monday, Nov. 29, with the singer claiming she was reacting to being racially profiled. However, the Dutch military police disagree with Ari’s claim. It seems that the RnB singer is still upset and confused by the events that took place.

Earlier this week during an emotionally charged Twitter rant. Lennox shared her version of the situation in real-time: “F*** Amsterdam security, They hate black people”. Later, she wrote, “They’re arresting me.” And finally, “I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.”

Robert van Kapel, a spokesperson for the Dutch authorities issued the statement following her detainment. He described the behavior of the singer as inappropriate. He accused her of being drunk on the flight and stated that the main reason for her detainment was aggressive behavior towards an airline official.

In her latest tweet on Saturday December 4, the Shea Butter Baby vocalist expressed her regret behind the situation. She clarified that she is still upset and she only wishes she could change how she reacted to the mistreatment she was facing.

My only regret is my reaction to the racism and discrimination I experienced,” Ari confessed. “I would like to explain what happened to me but KLM has made it clear that they never cared to hear it from jump. It’s painful being silenced like this. It’s painful what I went through. I’m not ok.” Lennox tweeted. On December 2, the singer tweeted out that she was safe and we hope she still is.
