John Cena’s upcoming Peacemaker HBO Max series has a new official trailer. The streaming service will release the first three episodes of the DC Extended Universe series on January 13, 2022. The eight-episode first season will then continue with new episodes coming out every week.

Cena has described his character as a “douchey” Captain America. He marked the first live action portrayal of Peacemaker in “The Suicide Squad.” His performance was very well-received, and HBO greenlit the new spin-off.

The vulgar and violent Peacemaker vows to fight crime, whatever it takes. That often leads to hilarious situations with unpredictable consequences. Cena seems like the perfect guy for the job.

John follows in the footsteps of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Rock rose from obscurity to superstardom in WWE. Since then, he has become one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood.

A recently released teaser showed Cena insulting Aquaman. The brash character was hilarious in “The Suicide Squad.” Now, fans are getting their first look at Cena’s performance in Peacemaker.

It remains to be seen if John Cena will reach those lofty heights. For now, Cena fans have a new trailer to sink their teeth into. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to binge the show in a single day upon its release.
