Chelsea Houska and her husband, Cole DeBoer, recently built a new home in South Dakota. The Teen Mom 2 star started major renovations of the ranch at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic in April of 2020. The couple gave birth to a new baby in January of 2021, making the 5-room home perfect for their party of six.

Chelsea talked about the journey to create a perfect family home over the years on social media. In a 2020 Instagram post, she said building a homestead from scratch was a special experience.

“Holy crap. We are so excited for this journey. We don’t know much about building a house, BUT I have been preparing for this for years if you count Pinterest-ing and allllll the farmhouse Instagram pages I follow.”

In February of this year, Chelsea talked to In Touch, where she gave updates about the build. She said she wanted a modern home that was also comfortable. They kept the colors cozy and clean.

“I wanted a nice modern home, but I still want it to be comfortable and welcoming. So, that’s kind of what we went for.

We have a lot of black in our house, and our house is black on the outside. I’m not afraid of a moody room or a moody moment. I want to keep it simple but cozy … It does look modern, but it doesn’t look like too crispy [and like you] can’t hang out.”

You can check out the photos that Chelsea Houska has shared of the completed farmhouse below. It fits her style perfectly. Chelsea and Cole absolutely nailed the home they were looking to build.
