Demi Lovato Is No Longer California Sober

Demi Lovato will no longer drink alcohol or use cannabis. They refered to the lifestyle as “California Sober.” Demi says fully sober is the only way to be.

The singer made a post on Instagram announcing the lifestyle change. It’s unknown what exactly caused the philosophical shift, but Demi had previously been a proponent. “California Sober” allows for alcohol and marijuana use, but not harder drugs.

Demi has spent time in rehab in the past. Perhaps they’re just coming to terms with their own vulnerabilities. Lovato overdosed on heroin in 2018, sparking the rehab stint.

Demi released “Dancing with the Devil” on YouTube TV in March. It served as a chronicle of their substance abuse problems and singing career. At the time, Demi was still promoting the “California sober” lifestyle.

Demi also recently announced that they’re getting into the adult toy industry. They also believe that the term aliens is offensive to extra terrestrials. Maybe the latest experiment with full sobriety will help keep Demi Lovato grounded.
