Tom Holland has been reported to be returning to his role as Spider-Man for another trilogy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Long-time franchise producer Amy Pascal said that while the first series is ending, it only means another trilogy is beginning for Holland‘s web slinger. Fans were, of course, delighted at the news.

Three more Spider-Man films are coming after No Way Home. The announcement solidifies the fact that Holland will be doing at least three more. That means he will break an MCU franchise record, according to Screenrant.

Three more solo films for Tom Holland as Spider-Man would break the MCU record for most solo movies in any one franchise. Three new Spider-Man flicks would place the character solely in first place. Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor have three each, with at least Thor and Cap getting a fourth eventually.

Even if both of those proposed fourth movies get sequels, they will still trail Holland’s portrayal of Peter Parker, which is now confirmed for six planned installments total. Additionally, three more Spidey movies would mean that there were more MCU Spider-Man installments than even The Avengers franchise.
