Tiger Woods recently announced that he will likely never be a full-time professional golfer again. After seriously injuring his leg in a car accident in February of 2021, his future in the sport became questionable. It doesn’t appear he will ever be able to survive the rigors of the tour.

Tiger also says he’d prefer not to discuss the car crash. According to TMZ, Woods referred the media to the police report for details. He’d rather not talk about it anymore.

“All those answers have been answered in the investigation. So, you can read about all of that there, in the police report.”

Woods said that he doesn’t experience flashbacks to the horrible wreck. Still, he would prefer not to get into detail. The police report says that Tiger’s excessive speed was the key factor in the accident.

Police don’t think Woods was under the influence of any intoxicating substance at the time of the crash. There were no open containers in the car and no prescription pills were found on Tiger. He appeared completely coherent in video that showed him leaving his hotel just moments before the accident.

Tiger Woods is considered one of the greatest golfers of all time. His dominance in the sport caused many courses to change their layouts, a process known as “Tigerproofing.” While he has his critics, his contribution to the sport cannot be measured.
