Conor McGregor suffered a tough break and that took him out of action. It also prematurely ended an epic battle with Dustin Poirier, one we do hope to see continue down the line. McGregor required surgery, but he is healing like a superhero.

The Notorious former UFC champion tweeted out to give fans an update on his condition. This was during a recent Q&A when Notorious was asked about how his current rehab process is going.

The fibula is fully healed. The medial side of the tibia is developing nice callous also. It is just patience now for it to form down through the bone to the lateral side of the tibia where the larger break occurred. It’s getting there. Patience will win this race for me!

Notorious was asked to compare the difficulty between the physical and mental stress of rehab. “I celebrate this everyday!” McGregor answered. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! It’s stronger I am getting!”

He isn’t afraid of breaking his leg again at all. “I cannot wait to wrap this steel bar in my leg across the neck of a future opponent! I am counting down by the seconds until I get to launch this weapon.”

We will have to see how soon Conor McGregor can get cleared to compete, but he is certainly on his way to the Octagon sooner than later. The man is healing at a very rapid pace which could be a reason for all that constant trash talking recently.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
