Hollywood heartthrob Keanu Reeves isn’t too high on the idea of Neo and John Wick appearing as playable characters in Mortal Kombat, according to Essentially Sports.

In an interview with Esquire, the 57-year-old shared his thoughts on the age-old question regarding the possible appearance of Neo and John Wick (both played by Reeves) in the iconic franchise.

“If it was up to me? No,” the Matrix star said. He continued, “Mortal Kombat is awesome in so many ways. But I think, you know, Neo… John Wick… yeah, man, they’re doing their own thing. Mortal Kombat’s doing their own thing.”

Fans have long demanded that Neo and Wick appear as playable characters in Mortal Kombat. The graphic combat game has already seen the addition of iconic characters such as Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator.

However, Reeves, who is set to reprise his role as Neo and John Wick in The Matrix: Resurrections and John Wick 4, respectively, is against the idea of the two characters appearing in the Mortal Kombat franchise.
