Dancing With the Stars season 30 excited fans, but some aren’t happy with he results. JoJo Siwa brought it to the ballroom, but while she and her pro dance partner Jenna Johnson make performing every week look easy, JoJo is showing folks that practice makes perfect with some heart-stopping behind-the-scenes footage.

It all came down to JoJo Siwa and Iman Shumpert. In the final moments of the Dancing With the Stars season 30 finale. When Tyra Banks crowned a new champion, Iman was named the new winner of DWTS. This meant JoJo came in second place. Right after the finale, JoJo spoke with reporters about how she was feeling after her second placement.

“Nobody likes to lose. Nobody does,” Jojo shared. “I would much rather get second than have gone home a week earlier. I am very grateful for the things that I’ve won throughout being here. I’ve been making a joke now all night that since we’re dressed like mirrorballs, this is my personal mirrorball that I get to take home [pointing to Jenna Johnson]. It’s been such a good time, so of course, no one’s going to be like, ‘Yeah, I got second! Woohoo!’ But we got second. It’s awesome.”

The judges and host Tyra Banks were equally as surprised to see them in that position as all of them Unanimously voted the duo. Even eliminated contestant Mike “The Miz” Mizanin had visibly resigned himself to his fate despite the judges’ praise for him after the bottom two was revealed. For the entirety of the season, JoJo and Jenna proved themselves to be strong contenders for the mirrorball trophy, having had one of the top scores in every episode.

In an Instagram post shared by the show after their latest performance, several fans called the judges out, claiming they were given higher scores than they deserved. One commented: “WHAT!!!???? I disagree with the scores,” with another saying: “I didn’t think this was her best work tonight,” and a third also adding: “They’re not bad BUT I knew they’d score high. Judges have their favorites every season. They’re the lucky ones this season.”

The performance also featured same-sex pairs dancing along with Jojo and Jenna. Jojo admitted that she was  Crying just before she danced her final DWTS routine. “I didn’t tell you this, but I was crying in my little egg before I went out,” Jojo told Jenna. “I had a talk with myself and I said, ‘Pull it together really fast. Otherwise, Jenna’s going to kill you’. But I just was so happy yet so sad because I knew everything was going to be over in two minutes, but it was two minutes of my life that were on fire and that I’m so grateful for.”

We’re sure JoJo will be just fine with her empire, but it would have still been nice to capture that Mirrorball Trophy for Abby Lee Miller, right?
