Dr. Dre claims he cut off all communications with his ex wife after Nicole Young accused him of spousal abuse during their marriage. In a court declaration, Dre said he felt that his ex-wife’s actions betrayed him. Young is fighting Dre in court over her request for $4 million to cover attorney fees relating to the divorce.

Dre says that he hasn’t spoken to Nicole in over a year. They split in March of 2020 after having been married since 1996. After Nicole filed for the divorce, Dre said he wanted things to be civil. He revealed his last text to his ex-wife in court documents obtained by Radar Online.

“Let’s keep it friendly and peaceful. Over and Out. I love you.”

The tumultuous divorce has been anything but friendly and peaceful. Nicole filed documents accusing him of abuse while they were married after the initial divorce filing. Dr. Dre says the accusations are untrue.

“This is a complete lie. Nicole is now also trying to get out of our Premarital Agreement by claiming that I supposedly forced her to sign the Premarital Agreement. This too is false.”

Dr. Dre said in the paperwork that there were no accusations of domestic violence during their marriage. The police were never called for any such situation. He says Nicole Young’s allegations are simply untrue.
