The Wisconsin Christmas Parade incident occurred just after 4:30 pm on Sunday night as spectators in the town of Waukesha, a Milwaukee suburb, watched the annual tradition. Driver of rampaging SUV tore through Waukesha Christmas parade leaving at least 5 dead and 40 injured. He was ‘fleeing a knife crime’.

At least 12 children are among the injured, with elderly people and a priest also confirmed as being hurt. “Oh my God, oh my God, no” shrieks went up as the red SUV tore through the barricades running over people, as seen in a chilling video from the scene:

The Daily Mail reports that police say a ‘person of interest’ is in custody but no arrests have been made and no motive has been disclosed. NBC reports that person has a long criminal history and was fleeing a knife fight at the time. The man who’s been reported as a person of interest is a local rapper.

Darrell Brooks Jr. is the local rapper in question. He went by the stage name Mathboi Fly. He released a music video a couple years ago set in Milwaukee wherein several times, you can see the red Ford Escape.

The red SUV used in his music video strangely looks like the one seen in the horrific videos of the Christmas Parade. YouTube pulled the music video from the original account, leaving this message in its place, “This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.” However, it’s since been re-posted by at least one other account.

Brooks Jr. even has a recent criminal history in the area . He got charged on November 5 with resisting an officer, bail jumping, 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct and battery. Time will tell if he was the real driver.
