Toronto Blue Jays recently made an insane deal with Jose Berrios. From the looks of it, the two have come to an agreement on a lucrative contract. Berrios is certainly going to be laughing all the way to the bank.

According to ESPN, Toronto and Jose Berrios have agreed to a seven-year contract extension worth $131 million. The team acquired the 27-year-old right-hander at the trade deadline from the Minnesota Twins.

Right after that, Jose Berrios went 5-4 with a 3.58 ERA in 12 starts for the Blue Jays down the stretch. Berrios went 12-9 overall this year as he set career bests with a 3.52 ERA and 204 strikeouts. He is 60-47 with a 4.04 ERA in his six-year career.

Berrios is a two-time All-Star and was going to become a free agent next year after the season of the season. Of course, that is no longer happening as he will now stay with the team for the next seven years.
