Derek Hough Tests COVID-19 Positive Before Dancing With The Stars Finale

Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough has tested positive for COVID-19 after being present in the ballroom Monday night. Hough took to his Instagram to share the sad news.

Hough is currently quarantining, did not clarify whether fans will still get to see him for the “Dancing With the Stars” finale next week. The Emmy winner stated that he was fully vaccinated but still got diagnosed with a breakthrough case of Covid-19.

Previously pro dancer Cheryl Burke and her celebrity partner Cody Rigsby tested positive for COVID-19. As a counter they performed live from their separate homes.

Earlier, Hough had a COVID scare in October, and was forced to sit out of the dancing competition series after he was “potentially exposed”. This maybe due to the rule surrounding “close contact”.

Whether or not Derek Hough will be replaced with another judge is unknown. We hope Derek Hough gets well soon. He will surely be missed. His shows in Vegas will be rescheduled.
