Carole Baskin has revealed she has filed a lawsuit to prevent Netflix from using her footage in Tiger King 2, the sequel to the controversial 2020 documentary about big cat rescuing and breeding.

Baskin, who became the subject of controversy following the documentary’s release, told TMZ she wants the producers to drop her likeness and image from the second instalment of Tiger King.

She claimed the series producers tricked her into starring in the tw0-part documentary and that the original idea pitched to her sounded nothing like the final product. She further alleged that the film crew even showed her an early promo cut.

The original Tiger King ended up painting Carole Baskin as a controversial and notorious figure whereas Joe Exotic was seen as the heroic lead. Baskin sees her portrayal as a flat-out misrepresentation of her real life persona and her mission.

She added that fans of the docuseries send her threatening message to this day and that Jeff and Lauren intend to file a lawsuit against her for allegedly tipping off the feds to violations at the now-shutdown Tiger King Park.
